I managed to get the weekend off work, and took advantage of it as it was G.O.C.C. Fall Freakout at Cedar Point. It was also the first time I had been to the park in 2 months, and with the end of the season near, I was looking forward into getting some riding and enjoying the park in. I arrived in Sandusky around 5 pm after spending almost 50 minutes getting across Toledo (ugh! Traffic). I got my campsite and went to the park, getting there slightly after 5:30pm opening. I arrived to the park on Monday the 3rd around 8:30ish at night. By the time I got in, it was almost 9. I rode Magnum a few good times, and then got a ride on Power Tower before heading over to Millennium Force for last ride of the night. We arrived around noon-ish on Friday, and our room was ready. Since I work nights, I took a nap while they went down to the waterpark. I woke up in time to go take some pictures with my new camera (Canon S2-IS - They'll be posted online shortly). My first impression was that I was pretty impressed. It was a very cool setup. It was hotter than heck in there, however, and the humidity quickly fogged my camera up. I snapped a few pictures, and then walked around and got wet for a bit, but then I decided I was tired so I went back up to the room. Read More Here

After some tie ups and the 250+ miles of travelling, we arrived at Geauga Lake around 2 or 3 pm, I forget which really. The $9 parking sucks, but after I paid it we got into the park pretty quick, and headed for Dominator. Read More Here

I guess it was about 8:15-8:20. That wasn't to be, however, as I almost totaled out my truck on Perkins Ave. Stupid idiot Ohio drivers. After our trip to Magic Mountain on Sunday, I was really looking forward to my trip to Knott's. I was going to meet up with my friend Cory as well as go with Dylan. Ended up Cory brought 2 more friends, so we had a group of 5. I was able to get free parking with my Season Pass from Cedar Point (yay). Read More Here

I stayed out in California with my friend Dylan. On Sunday May 29, we woke up around 5 am, and got ready to go and hit the road from San Marco's Cal State campus around 6:30 or so, maybe 7. Took the 5 up all the way to Valencia, only stopping for gas and breakfast. We managed to get to Six Flags Magic Mountain around 9:10 or so. Read More Here

It's official - Cedar Point did invalidate my 3 remaining tickets that they gave me, so I had to use the one Tara had given me. Read More Here

Finally, here it is... Closing day. The time change was on 10/26 at 3 am so I had an extra hour to sleep. This was good because I had a paper route to deliver this morning before heading off to the Point. I woke up at 3am (EST) and delivered the paper route. It was kinda rainy, but not bad. I was home about 5 am and took a quick shower. A Check of the weather showed rain, and lots of it, in Sandusky. It looked as if the rain was gonna move off to the east/northeast, though. I made the decision to go, and it was the best. I left my house about 5:30 am and headed off towards Sandusky. Read More Here

Well, I got this big plan to visit Cedar Point sometime during the week after seeing the weather report for Friday, October 10. I think everyone else had the same idea - Visit Cedar Point this weekend - it'll be the last good weekend of the year. Not a big deal, though. I left my house in Lansing about 1:30pm on Friday afternoon, and made the trek to the point. My car, which had been having problems for the month and a half prior, seemed to run like a dream, and I didn't end up having any problems with her. Read More Here

Tuesday morning we left for the point around 10 or 10:30. Nice drive down there! Kinda rainy, but it was nice. The US-23 Construction wasn't bad at all at 11 am on a Tuesday. 280 moved very nicely too. Stopped off at the McDonalds in Oregon on Route 2 and got online on the laptop for a bit to see if Dragster was up and running, and when the rain would stop. Found out both dragster were down, and the rain might plague us all afternoon. After that, headed off to the point. Traffic moved pretty nicely (60MPH or so) all the way to the point. I took route 4, which really totally sucked. Stopped off at battery park, but it was hard to see the park through the fog. This was the first time Katy had seen Top Thrill Dragster in person, and needless to say she was quite impressed and quite anxious to get over to the park. Read More Here

Started the day off leaving Lansing around 5:45 in the morning!! early! Took the first picture of the new sign out the window while waiting for the light to change... Nice new Cedar Point sign there on the causeway! Once I got into the parking lot, I got waived right, but I put my left blinker on and insisted on going to the left, and the parking attendant finally waved me to the left... I drove around back and parked in the soak city lot in row 2. Can't beat that. I went and got in line for the park, in the special season pass line I arrived about 9 am to the gate, and was probably 5th or 6th in line in the season pass line. WHen the gates opened at 9:30 I got right in and ran to Top Thrill Dragster, only to find it was closed. Too bad... I would have probably made first ride of the day! Read More Here
